High-Risk Pregnancies

High-risk pregnancies account for 6% to 8% of all pregnancies, but when they occur the outcomes can be devastating.  The Tana Quigley We Dance Foundation was created by people who well know this devastation first hand.  Special care is necessary to protect both baby and mother and to minimize complications.  Education and financial support are key when preventing infections, maintaining a healthy diet, gaining a healthy amount of weight and reducing stress on the mother and unborn child.   Seeking appropriate medical support, attending all appointments, complying with all screenings and following doctor recommendation for safest delivery options are all crucial to getting the best outcome for both mother and baby.

With high-risk pregnancies, treatment may require a neonatal critical care unit after the baby is born.  These units require highly specialized equipment that require donations to obtain.  Our efforts focus on funding education so that women can make informed decisions and understand their risks as well as to provide much needed equipment in neonatal units.
